GROWING UP
From a baby, small and fresh with life
Viewed as the most precious thing by your parents who are husband and wife
Two years later your in your terrible two's
Began to walk, wearing little shoes
You all ways think when you've grown up you'll be what ever you want to be
I could tell you different but why ruin your glee
Your screaming has stopped you've began to talk
Your four, you crawled you ran before you you could walk
You want to be a fireman, a doctor a vet
You want to be the best anyone has met
Your six now, a trouble making tot
Granddad tells a joke and you laugh a lot
Your at that age were Christmas is the best
Mom looks at you proud, it seems only yesterday she held you to her chest
Going on eight, have sleep overs with your mate
Your into fishing, we use worms as bait
And as most little boys all like to do
He chucks them at his sister, she cries is say he really loves you
Your getting on thirteen now, the years have flown past
Sooner than later you'll leave, at least its been a blast
Your into girls a little Casanova
I'm dreading the time i have left with you will soon be over
Your eighteen, a young man, towering over me
It's your first job, your what you always wanted to be
You've gone from a baby, small and fresh with life
Viewed as the most precious thing by your parents who are husband and wife
