JUST LIKE A BROKEN RECORD
Just like a broken record, it will never end
We watch the spark of life descend
Start of the world, the dawn of man
Big bang or god who cares how it began
Divine or not we have our flaws
If pollution and war is the effect we are the cause
Monotony made us what we are today
Making prisons and cells that are filled everyday
We think the problem is lack of knowledge
But these criminals weren't exactly material for college
In order to get the peace and unity that we yearn
We all have to listen in order to learn
We all need to close our eyes, let no light in and think
Why the boat we are on is beginning to sink
Are we like sheep, blindly following the shepherd
Is this why the world has weathered
But no matter how many times we acknowledge the problem we can never stop
All we can do is guess which forest is up for chop
Just like a record, it will never end
Until we let go on what we all depend

We navigate the shoals of time
Upon our Present course
Between the shallows of our pride
And breakers of remorse.
