Poetry: Left in the dark

by April Miller

Created on: August 18, 2009   Last Updated: August 19, 2009

There used to be fun day
Happy day
You left
Walked away
And I'm lost
Left in the dark
Cold and alone
Lost and alone
Did you even think?
Did you plan it out?
Or was it just a random thought?
A thought that sprung to your mind in an instant?

Days go by
And the darkness ceases
The night is blinding
In it's own way
And in other ways its like the sun
I wish I could leave this lightless prison
Leave this darkness behind and escape
Perhaps someday
Perhaps some where beyond tomorrow
