Alone in her room she feels frozen with fright,
Afraid that the Devil will come tonight.
She listens for crying in the next room,
She hears nothing so grabs for the broom.
A fist fight she will put up tonight
Because what he does just isn't right.
Afraid if she tells, she'll go to hell,
She keeps quiet, with it she'll dwell.
When she looks in his eyes she just wants to cry
She even wishes that he would just die.
Done with her he goes to the next room,
To put her sister through the same doom.
Now in her new home she wants to stay,
Those days with dad seem a world away.
She's safe now with the ones she calls mom and dad.
Her future now doesn't seem so bad.
Alone in her room she now feels delight,
That she won't be going back to that horrible night.
