We are born to suffer when we live in this world and we also were born to live. For most of us in this unbalanced world we live in we suffer more than we live. It is our suffering that gives us a greater understanding about our spiritual life. We subconsciously choose to feel these emotions.
In every religion there is suffering. Jesus even suffered and died on the cross. We are taught nothing in this world is ever easy. So we go on suffering never to experience our purpose in life and that's the true tragedy and we suffer more. For many who suffer we fall into the Devil's playground who will offer us the world if we do the Devil's bidding and many go along with the Devil and they have everything they want, but they have ultimately paid the price and spend their rest of their life and possibly eternity in misery.
There are also others that suffer and the Devil also puts them in their own versions of hell and the negative spirits feed on us. We suffer from addictions of the worst kind, suffer from economic struggles, suffer from family problems, even suffer from tragedy. We get upset and then we blame God. Meanwhile, the Devil laughs at us because he knows we just made it easier for him.
The truth is suffering for some people will make someone mentally, physically and spiritually struggle. Because it is our darkest hour that we turn to God for salvation. People who went through the worst addictions, horrible situations had found God. Those people who survived the Holocaust, survived Rwanda, and survived The World Trade Center explosion found God. Events like this open up our lives to our spirituality and we find there is more to life than the life we live.
There can be spiritual growth towards suffering and also there can be pain and bitterness. For those who have lost someone they may feel this especially to a serious illness. There seems much unfulfillment in their souls and their hurt echos around the world and throughout the universe. But if our Divine Creator didn't come out with a plan for us and didn't know the outcome we wouldn't even exist and that would be the tragedy. That is true suffering.
Our cries are heard whether we realize it or not. It is not easy being human and it is not easy being being a spiritual being. Now we face more struggles than ever with a possible economic collapse, possible World War Three, problems with every religion out there. The fact is we live in a world where we don't trust anyone including ourselves. And we live to accept pain as the answer to our solutions. Many of us work, are separated from the world and have distractions such as TV, ipods, and the internet to keep us from knowing our true origins. And the fact that the Mayans predicted December 21, 2012 as the end of an age. It makes sense. The Mayan believed with their astronomy and calculations that we are approaching the center of the universe. Gregg Braden writes about this topic in his book Fractal Time.
The truth is we are in a time of change and our stress levels are going to go through the roof in the coming months. Our suffering will be magnified. It is up to us to look to our past to understand what we have done wrong so we can do right. There is a reason for our suffering and there is a greater need to understand our suffering. Maybe if we all did we can spiritually grow and live to our potential. Spiritually it is not meant for us to live our complete lives in suffering. We are meant to live and fear can only bully us from our God given right. We are meant to be free and we will one day achieve that goal.
