Are men all the same? I have heard over and over women asking this question. The answer depends on a couple of factors. Where are you meeting these men, and are you attracting one specific type? Men are different and the same. In general a man is a man. They have testosterone and other physical male attributes. Typically, they like sports and love food and sex. Now with that being said, men are also very different. There are some that do not like sports at all, they crave more artistic venues. There also men that have very low sex drives that do not need it as frequently as most. Even though an apple is an apple, there are different colors and flavors to be had.
The first thing to ask yourself, if you are one who believes all men are the same, is are you hand picking these men out? What I mean by that is, if you seem to be dating men that all have an ego issue, stop picking these guys out to begin with. Go against your nature. It is easy to spot these guys up front. Listen to them talk for about thirty minutes and you know all you want from them and more. Make sure you are not judging all men by your own mistakes in picking which ones to date.
I get tickled when I hear a woman complain that all men are the same and they all stink. Well first of all, where are you meeting these men? Are you picking these dudes up at the bar at last call? If you seem to be meeting these guys and they hook up and leave then quit meeting THESE guys! Go to a friendlier environment to meet someone, such as a cultural event, or the park. Try to meet a guy at a place where you have interests in. If you like to horseback ride, than look for a guy there. If your interests are in reading and poetry, then look at the bookstores or in coffee shops. A great place to meet a guy is at the beach, or even at a local park. Guys with dogs show they have some sort of commitment possibilities and also that they are capable of love. Grab a blanket and a book, set up camp in the grass and look cute and approachable. Admire potential guys Frisbee playing skills or the cute dog that he is playing fetch with.
For those of you saying that it is more difficult to generate a conversation in these atmospheres, you are wrong. It isn't hard to shoot a guy a smile, and make eye contact. Which if he is single is sure to generate a response. It may even seem more genuine coming from a time that you aren't drinking alcohol.
Try different tactics to meet and establish a relationship with guys, before you write them off all together. You may be surprised in what you find.
