Fantasy Football has had an increase of people using it. It has become a thing where you need to have it to compete with your friends to see who knows the most football. Fantasy Football is a game of smarts. You need to know who is the best and can help your team the most. Well I have made some tips to make it so you are one of the best teams in your league.
Best Players
The best players are the players that will be taken in the first couple of rounds. But here are the best players at each position.
QB Drew Brees NO
RB Adrian Peterson MIN
WR Larry Fitzgerald ARI
TE Tony Gonzalez ATL
K Jason Elam ATL
Sleepers
Sleepers are the players that are not known too much but are some of the best. They are the players with that hidden career year and they can be the best at their position some times. I have listed some by their position below:
QB Aaron Rodgers GB - Aaron Rodgers was the replacement to Brett Farve last year. And he did a fine job too. He has a good arm as well as two top-notch receivers that can catch as well as anyone. He also is a threat to run the ball and scramble. He had rushing touchdowns last year that most quarterbacks do not have. Since he has a year under his belt now, he should be better than last year.
RB Steve Slaton HOU - Steve Slaton is an electrifying back with agility and power. He is a second year running back and had an amazing first year. Some experts say that Slaton will do worse because he had such a good first year. But I expect him to do the same or even more with the ball. Houston is not a passing team which means the will run the ball a lot more than pass it.
RB LeSean McCoy PHI - LeSean McCoy is a rookie running back looking to make a great first impression like Slaton. But McCoy is a back-up running back to pro-back Brian Westbrook. But Westbrook has encountered countless injuries over the past few years. Therefore, McCoy will have a chance to be a starter. And if Westbrook doesn't get injured, McCoy will still be the number 2 back and will play because of Westbrook's past injuries.
WR Anthony Gonzalez IND - With the Colts releasing Marvin Harrison, the door has opened for Anthony Gonzalez. Gonzalez, who was the number 3 receiver last year, will move to the number 2 with Peyton Manning throwing the ball which is always a plus. I expect him to have a breakout year because of those reasons. He will and everyone knows it.
WR Joey Galloway NE - This is a long shot. Galloway is 37 or 38 years old, but he plays for the Patriots who have Tom Brady. The Patriots are a passing team and expect them to have 3 receivers in a lot of the time. Galloway will be left open or 1-on-1 because of the Patriots other great receivers.
TE Brent Celek PHI - Brent Celek was the number 2 TE last year. But with L.J. Smith gone he will be the number 1 TE. Celek helped the Eagles move in the playoff when Smith was injured. He averaged about 60 yards a game which is extremely high for a TE. I expect him to have an amazing year with McNabb throwing to him a lot.
DEF New York Jets - The Jets will have a stellar defense this year. They have new coach Rex Ryan who came from one of the best defensive teams in the league the Baltimore Ravens. The Jets have acquired 3 great defensive players over the off-season which could improve their overall game. Look for the Jets to be a contender even in one of the toughest divisions in football.
