Songs: Victory

by Ambrose Oyamo

Created on: August 17, 2009

While I wait,

I know the Lord is good and always is

He made us in His image and likeness

Therefore I wholly surrender, pray and wait upon Him

That His purposes and intentions for me would not fail.

The perfection and truthfulness of His Law

Gives sufficient yield to my faith and hope in endurance

If it wasn't for His word,my fledgling faith would be empty

The narrow and rugged path of my life would be a cul de sac

Whenever I am sorrounded with mighty and towering opponents

Vigorous and intimidating,seemingly altogether winning

I turn to Him,the great High Priest who identifies with

My weaknesses not just for strength but for a song of victory also.

That I may sing with the once barren Hannah

That the bow of the mighty is now broken and

Those who stumbled are now strong

While I wait, I meditate on these with cheer!
