More and more people are looking for answers when it comes to finding a cure for rheumatoid arthritis. Unfortunately sometimes we are overcome with discomfort and pain and can't imagine an alternative way of finding relief but swallowing a pill. We can't imagine how else to deal with the discomfort. Our body actually knows how to heal itself if it is given the right tools and ingredients. Often enough the harmony and balance is so far off that it takes a long time for a natural therapy to work. We are all unique individuals though and respond to treatments differently.

What is Arthritis?
There are several different forms of arthritis. The most common types are Gout, Lyme Disease, Infectious Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

Most of the time when we refer to arthritis we are talking about a chronic autoimmune disease that affects joints and connective tissues. To this day, the certain cause of Arthritis is still unknown. While some believe that one can acquire it if he or she is genetically predisposed, a weakened immune system could also be the cause.

It is a known fact that woman are affected by it more so than men. It can start out mild and progress rapidly causing disability.

Rheumatoid arthritis starts out in the endothelial cells. First signs might be edema and inflammation, progressing to stiff joints and decreased range of motion. Later on synovitis can occur. Through this, certain enzymes get released which attack the cartilage. This will eventually lead to joint deformities.

Natural Therapies
While there is no approved natural cure yet, here are some therapy forms that have helped people with pain relief and discomfort.

In advanced massage therapy, the goal is to reduce pain and trigger points, increasing range of motion and creating overall balance. This can be done through a customized massage including Swedish Massage, Hydrotherapy and even Trigger Point Therapy.

Cranial Sacral Therapy and Jin Shin Jyutsu and even acupuncture have been showing some amazing results in some clients from long-term pain relief to the reversing of the disability.

It is best to try out different techniques of massage therapy. Therefore I recommend finding a qualified massage therapist, preferably someone who has rheumatoid arthritis massage and healing experience. Furthermore I recommend practicing stress management techniques. Dealing with stress belongs to our daily life, consciously and subconsciously. It is an evil partner and knows how to tear us apart, giving us pain and even starting ailments.

While the cause of rheumatoid arthritis is still pretty unknown, one naturopathic doctor once told me that every disease and disability starts deep inside in the digestive system. And if we are looking for something like arthritis relief, we must first start healing the body from the inside out. I can see a connection since stress can alter body function, especially that of the digestive system. It is the beginning of a long domino effect.

It is never too late to do something about it. The body has amazing self healing powers if it is given the right ingredients.
