Poetry: A sailor's tale

by T.C Leonard

"A Nudie Bar in Mynamar"

Near a nudie bar

In Mynamar

Were three sailors set ashore,

Under orders

To leave their quarters

And bring aboard an oar

Seems they misheard

The Captain's words,

Or just maybe out of spite

They hit the deck,

Aye, by heck,

With a lady of the night

The Capatain said,

"I'll have your heads

And send you to Neptune's grot!"

But she was cute,

Well worth the loot,

And it gave him second thoughts

Then he set free

The sailors three

And granted them reprieve...

"To the nudie bar

In Mynamar!

We'll go ashore on leave!"
