Green tea is a very useful tea that has several health benefits. Green tea helps prevent plaque buildup, gum disease, bad breath, and cavities. Why can it do all that? Because green tea contains fluoride, so I wouldn't recommend having toothpaste that contains fluoride if you regularly drink Green tea, to much fluoride is bad for you.

It helps boost the immune system by making it easier to resist infections. Reduces the risk of some cancers and prevents most other kinds of cancer's. The risk of heart disease and heart attacks is lowered because drinking Green tea reduces the risk of Thrombosis. Bad cholesterol (LDL) is lowered also, and good cholesterol (HDL) is increased. Also prevents the oxidation of LDL cholesterol by reducing the buildup of plaque in the arteries.

Dieters find Green tea very helpful because it raises the metabolic rate, burns calories, and speeds up fat oxidation. Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease are more efficiently fought against by the drinking of Green tea. Also a good way to stay hydrated and meet the daily water intakes. Sometimes Green tea is used to treat multiple Sclerosis, and is also used to treat Rheumatoid arthritis and Cardiovascular diseases. Some researchers believe that drinking Green tea regularly may help prevent tooth decay which causes the dental plaque.

Green tea appears to exert sun damage protection by quenching free radicals and reducing inflammation rather than by blocking out UV rays. Green tea may enhance sun protection when used in addition to a sunscreen. Green tea is a well documented antioxidant and topical Green tea polyphony's are more likely to slow down the development of some signs of aging like wrinkles, skin sagging, and other signs of aging. It cannot eliminate aging but it can help to slow it down for a while. In several professional studies, green tea extract was shown to neutralize the damage done by exposure to UV rays.

4000 years ago in China Green tea was discovered, though nobody knows the exact time or date that it was first brewed as a tea, but there are many myths and legends about how it was found and when. Japan also found it a long time ago, and discovered some of the many uses of this extraordinary tea, as we have also discovered. There are many recipes that include Green tea, very delicious recipes they can be, too. As you have just read, Green tea is a very multi-purpose kind of tea, which makes it very popular.
