I feel the need to preface this poem by saying God is faithful and good and kind. I confess sometimes I find myself in agreement with the enemy as far as my self-worth goes, and I was having one of those moments. Exhausted, I just relinquished all rights to my thoughts and whispered, "Holy Spirit, take me where You will. Show me something..anything. Let me see my worth from Your eyes. I choose to be in agreement with You." And immediately, I saw what happened in this poem as if yesterday, today and tomorrow all of the sudden were one in the same. It's my prayer that you follow the Holy Spirit there too.
Holy Spirit
Take me where You will
To a magnificent hill
A sunrise begins the day
A tree stands green
And below it I see
Jesus kneeling to pray
So often as He prayed
His burdens He did lay
Upon the heart of Father God
He spoke to Him above
Of me and of True Love
And I fell to my knees in awe
My Lord prayed for me
There beside that tree
Then died to bring me life
I kneel here today
And am able to pray
By the blood of Jesus Christ
Humbled and blessed
I began to confess
My sorrow at being so blind
He just shook His head "No"
And pulled me close -
Treasure of no other kind
