Amidst the ashes, A darkness, A light.
From the ashes we rose, young and eager,
ready to take on the world,
ready to satisfy our hunger,
For knowledge, for revolution,
we thought we were ready to make mankind better,
out on the streets we went, mentoring and preaching
like teachers of justice, of peace and war,
but we soon found out, that the peoples hearts were torn.
So we returned to observe, the mentality of these people,
of how they lived, and benefited each other,
But what we found out was disturbing, even a little evil,
as we saw that they were almost single minded, and ready to betray,
even keen to have a hand in each others upheavel,
So a plan emerged, to show them the light,
to show them the honour in work and in hard labour,
But we were shunned, even laughed upon, and betrayed,
Our ideas destroyed, almost from the hilt of the saber.
But there were those among this race, a hard core of humans,
Who had faith in each other, and believed in peaceful revolution,
The idea of such a band spurred us on,
Made us believe that we had made a difference on our world,
So we set upon the journey, and were ready at the break of dawn,
The heat of the sun bore down upon us, and the wind of the night left us curled,
But atlast we arrived, ready to rejoice with our followers,
And what we saw was horrifying, as the believers lay slaughtered,
Defiled and descreated, our happiness was now that much hollower,
It seemed once again, the cold hearted had victored.
All lay in despair, and we soon realised,
That we could not make a difference upon this world,
as society was not ready, and our actions on this world now seemed close to asinine,
and so as it had begun, a light in the age of darkness,
We rose from the ashes, ready to turn the world into something fine,
And we return to the ashes, escaping from the world we once thought was harmless.

Left Behind
If I were a young boy
With time on my hands,
I wouldn't sit and watch you
Waste away again.
If my eyes were pure
Sadness wraps around me like a blanket
I wish I could shake it off because I just can’t take it
This feeling is so heavy
by Al Lampier
Lobes choked by silence.
All growth - inner, outer, and future - is stymied
Time slams to a halt.
I sit
Stuck in ten minutes
"I feel such sadness deep inside
and fight to keep the tears at bay.
Your news has shattered my whole life
and taken
My fondest welcome, dear old friend!
I feel safe in your embrace.
You will be with me through night's end,
and through the
