The most common things students forget to pack for college

College, pretty much the first chance for everyone to live on their own and to make their own mistakes. But who wants their first mistake to be forgetting things when you finally leave your house to go off to college?

Never the less there is always something that you wish you would have brought. There are a few very common things that many people forget that could come in handy in a college dorm.

One thing that will be sure to help are ear plugs. Nothing is more frustrating than having a sleepless night due to a roommate's annoying snoring problem.

Another thing that is very important is the infamous shower flip-flop. Most people don't realize that they are going from their own private shower in their own home to a shower shared by no less than 50 other people. Standing where countless others have stood in your bare feet can just be an unbearable thought, so do yourself a favor and get some shower shoes.

Have you ever had the problem of trying to find someplace to plug something in but there is just no room? Well this problem can easily be taken care of make sure you take at least two power strips with you because you and your roommate need to share a maximum of four wall outlets with each other. So save yourself the hassle of going out any buying one later and make sure you bring a few with you.

Extra sheets can always be helpful. Everyone always thinks they will do all of their laundry when they should, but this almost never happens. Taking an extra pair of sheets will help when you spill something on your bed or you feel they are just to dirty to sleep in anymore, at least until you can wash them.

A very recent thing that has become a necessity for any college student is the USB drive. Also known as the jump drive, pocket drive, or the flash drive. They will most likely be the most useful tool that you could ever have at college.

Another useful tool possible the second most useful would be duct tape. It is the universal fix it tool. It has so many applications that it is a must have.

Other tools can also be handy. You never know when something might break down in your dorm room. The best tools to have on hand are a hammer, both a Phillips and Flathead screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.

Cleaning supplies are always helpful. Living alone without your parents cleaning the house leaves the burden to fall on you. A tiny vacuum such as a dust buster would be ideal for a dorm. The basics for windows and furniture will also help greatly.

A First Aid kit can only help. Its small and tiny and can help in so many ways. Weather it be from falling over drinking or just playing a game every gets hurt somehow or another and having something to help in these cases can only be a good thing.
