Poetry: Spring

by Karyn B Jules

Right on cue
Spring bounds boldly along in Winter's wake
turning plain, bare branches
into brazen blossoming beauties

A flurry of frilly skirts
riding high in radiant rows

Pouting, proud Prima Donnas
primed in anticipation
of pollination
and the consequent bearing
of blushingly sweet
Summer fruit

Ah yes! Spring is in the air...
