Are parents who scream out of control

Are parents who scream out of control...

It is wise that parents do not scream at their children because it shows your children you are out of control and you have put yourself on their emotional level. It automatically signals to your children you are a weak authority figure and they have found a weakness in your parenting style. What you are actually doing is bringing yourself into their category of misbehavior by acting like a child yourself.

Parents should always try to keep their composure and if they see they are getting out of control...take a breath and slowly count to 20. We, as parents, are suppose to be role models for our children and if they ever see us get out of control by screaming we should immediately stop and apologize to them for our behavior and then continue as if nothing has ever happened.

Parents are creatures of habit too, and when we get mad, yes, we can lose our tempers and allow our other side to come through to expose a different personality. When we do get out of sorts, do not continue in a mad manner but continue with the proper way to handle a child and do not give in to a child simply out of regret and remorse. If you give in after you have made a mistake, you'll definitely be sending the wrong message to your child or children.

Some children want their parents to get out of control so they can get in a screaming match with them and then they'll feel they can get away with whatever they want to say or do. The best thing for parents to do if they feel they are getting out of control is to step back and to allow a calm down period to study about the entire situation before making any sort of decision about it. Once you allow yourself to cool down, you'll find your decision will be well orchestrated and your decision can be made.

Whenever a child starts to ranting and screaming, back away and leave the room, they'll learn in a heartbeat you are not going to put up with it and their punishment is only going to be worse.

Parents should follow suit with their mates before they ever start to scream in front of their children, they should back away and definitely not do it in front of their children because you'll be setting a bad example for the children to follow suit in their lives.
