Chuck Palumbo had two separate runs in World Wrestling Entertainment. His departure from the company had a lot more to do with creative not finding a storyline or even really doing something with him in the first place. He is mostly known for his run in World Championship Wrestling and later World Wrestling Entertainment. In the mainstream, he has not held a singles championship but had been known as a guy to win tag team titles.
His first run with the company saw him be in a tag team with Billy Gunn, a tag team specialist as he had been claimed to be. It was later on they tried to give them a "gay" gimmick making it seem that way. It was perhaps one of his few major moments in the company believe it or not. After that, he would later be apart of a stable called The F.B.I. standing for Full Blooded Italians. It was initially a heel group but would soon start to get over with the fans becoming more like tweeners.
He would be moved to Raw and would pretty much be doing nothing. His first time being released had to do with the fact of not having much to do with him on the creative end. In the end, he decided to wrestle in the independent circuit trying to get his skills to improve so much that World Wrestling Entertainment would call him back to bring him back for a second run and hopefully for him it would work out better.
Palumbo returned to the WWE but would be used in singles competition mainly. He would use a character that would be based off his real life hobby of working with motorcycles. According to Chuck, this actually was not so much a gimmick but more based around his real life. He came in as a face and would be paired up with Michelle McCool. There would be his only major feud at the time being with Jamie Noble.
It would eventually become a case of simply having a double turn. Chuck would leave Michelle after blaming her for some of his losses. It would be a case of simply not really doing much with him in the first place and would be once again moved to Raw. It seemed that the brand would be the kiss of death for him, as he would not even appear one time. It just seemed like there had been no major plans to really push him as a singles wrestler.
Chuck Palumbo was released again for the same reason he was released in the first place. There was nothing that creative wanted to do with him and had been out of the WWE. It could be interesting if they decide to go again for a third time though it does not seem to be worth looking into trying the first place. He probably is out on the independent circuit and also maintaining a store called CP Kustoms. Just recently, he would ride a bike for charity for wounded soldiers. Maybe wrestling isn't for him but only time will tell.
