Cheap dorm room furniture ideas are best for dorm rooms as they are likely to be shared, costly even if the rooms are small and usually tucked away in some obscure corner of the college campus and hence tempting to burglars. Moreover, a thrifty and smart spender will know the best flea marts to hunt out the best bargains on a tight budget. You want furniture that will make your room feel like a home away from home but without the clutter that will distract you from the main aim of college life - to get a good education.

Make a trip to the campus and scout around the bill boards way before you move in. You will probably find half your needs there and all the items at affordable prices. If you get a wooden coffee table of diameter or width of two to three feet and chair set, that can double up comfortably as a study table in an avant gardesetting as well as a cozy corner to entertain guests or have a good supper with your dorm mater. Have it where you can look out of the window while you do your work and you will have a wonderful and relaxing environment to complete your work.
