This is a question that is almost impossible to get exactly correct. Jesus was the only human to go through life with every temptation that we have, and not give into any of them. Jesus never sinned once, should we expect that God will want us to do any less. That is why Jesus was brutally beaten, and nails were driven into his hands and feet for us. Jesus was crucified so that we may be forgiven of our sins that we commit daily.
There is one rule that I live by every day for God. This rule is that every day I will strive to become more Christ like every day. Becoming more Christ like is one of my biggest struggles in life. One big thing I think we all have is doing things for God, and then wanting to gloat about them. Read this verse:
"some have wandered away from these and turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm."
- 1 Timothy 1:6-8
One of the biggest part of being a Christian is prayer. When I pray I tell God everything about my life and how I feel about it. There is nothing that I don't tell God. God already knows everything I tell him, but that's why God is so amazing because he already knows and yet he still listens to every word. Prayer is a huge part of living a life that is pleasing to God. In your prayer you can tell God anything. But also you must remember to ask for forgiveness. Without prayer we would all be lost and eventually end up in hell.
God even gives a verse of prayer that is in 1st timothy; it says it deserves full acceptance.
"Here is a trust worthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners-of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life. Now to the king eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen."
-1 Timothy 1:15-18
The way we dress is another way that we can live a pleasing life to God. I encourage you to go this this website: www.newspring.cc This is a Christian church of about 8000 people, and the pastor is Perry Noble. In one of his services he talks about about how girls will wear these shorts that are so short that you can see their butt coming out. And it's funny because you can look at some of the girls that are there calling themselves Christians
