Can God and Darwinism coexist?

In order to determine if God and Darwinism coexist one must analyze the basis of each belief. If an individual believes in God and follows the word of God which is found in the Bible, then it would be extremely difficult for that individual to accept any apart of Darwin's ideology. People that follow the word of God believe that God is omnipotent and the creator of all things. An individual that believes in Darwinism believes that all things in existence have evolved to their current state. The basis of the evolution for which a creature has achieved is due to the idea that only the strong survive. An example of Darwinism is the evolution of man. A Darwinist believes that humans have evolved from monkeys through millions of years of adaptation to the environment. As for an individual that believes in God, feels that humans were placed on earth and are on the top of the food chain. In addition, God created the earth in seven days and created all the creatures contained within it.

The difference between each view is the belief in faith and the belief in science. Since science and faith are complete opposites this is the main reason why God and Darwinism cannot coexist. Individuals that believe in Darwinism use science to explain the evolution of species. An application of science to determine the time of existence is carbon dating. When an archeologist finds fossils in the earth, carbon dating is applied to determine the length in time that the fossil has been on earth. When a dinosaur bone is determine to be millions of years old it is extremely difficult to accept that God made the earth and man in only seven days. Because it is based upon scientific information, the probability of the outcome being false is minimal. Using this basis, the opinion that God created the earth and all things within it, science is being used to reject such claims.

People that believe in God must have faith. It would be an extremely big stretch to claim that the basis in having faith is similar to the basis of evolution. An individual that believes in Darwinism must have faith in the science that is used to determine such claims of evolution. For if the basis of science were found to be invalid than the belief of Darwinism would be invalid. Therefore, the question that must be asked is do you believe in God or Darwinism?
