Poetry: Turmoil

by Mary Kathryn Burdick

Created on: August 15, 2009

Inner Turmoil ...

My life has become over loaded with inner stress.

It's coming from stuffing down all of the backlash and mess.

I've learned through this life to just go with the flow.

Just to do my best and keep up with the status Quo.

Life has thrown me some curve balls.

Causing me to feel trapped against some walls.

But I don't let it all keep me down.

I just get up and wipe off that ole' frown.

Life has thrown me many curves.

Weighing me down and getting on my nerves.

I've learned to make the best of every situation.

Talking with God it's been a mutual collaboration.

Trying to keep my eyes on the goal.

So that I may keep my eternal soul.

Sometimes the pain is too much to swallow.

But still I try not to in it wallow.

My life has ended up in the pits.

Causing me to want to throw tantrums and fits.

Just when I think I'm finished and through.

I talk to God and get a brand new view.
