The benefits of global warming will be eventually great for the natural environment of our planet; in fact, continuing with the actual trend of average temperatures, too quickly increasing within few decades, nature will be able to get rid of the "human virus", the dangerous parasite that is infecting it, within 100 or 150 years or less, starting from today.

It's likely that this "fever" of our planet will soon destroy the culprit of this infection, featured by a long series of "symptoms" that we, the human viruses, have just started to experience.
Nature has powerful antibodies against a harmful presence like that of man and it will use them more and more massively in the future.

We, the viruses, will be "cooked" by our so-called "progress" and by the toxins this produces and spreads everywhere; we'll be destroyed by our excessive population that will not find anymore enough resources to eat and suck from Mother Nature, more and more reduced and poisoned; we'll die for the conflicts among the various viruses tribes to grab the little remained resources.
It's surely not pleasant for me to feel myself as part of an infection; the little I can do is being aware of this and reduce at the minimum level possible my personal impact in the worsening of the global warming.

When Mother Nature will be healed from this disease that has tormented her in the last thousands of years, the benefits will be surely evident and enormous; this planet will become again a beautiful, wild and spectacular living planet, but no one of us will have the chance of seeing it anymore because we don't deserve any kind of paradise, if we make our best to spoil it. This is the greatest possible advantage of global warming.

The others, in my opinion, are very scarce and relative; there will be positive consequences for some populations with a milder climate in the sub-polar regions and more possibilities to perform agriculture and to go on the beach to get tanned for more days during the year, but more draughts, tropical storms and famine will occur in the tropical and even temperate Countries.
Many animal species will disappear while others will multiply too much, also creating further environmental problems for us.

The sea level will increase and it will submerge flat islands and coastal areas with their crowded towns; what kind of positive consequence can I see in this so worrying consequence of global warming? The refugee of all submerged areas will have to be placed somewhere else, in a world with less available space and a population of 8, 10 or 12 billions people.

The increased amount of CO2 in the atmosphere will make grow faster the plants, the forests and the crops and this will be another partial advantage, but it doesn't increase the useful areas of the world where to practice farming and preserve forests; on the contrary, these precious areas are predicted in reduction, as it will happen for the Amazon forest that risks to reduce further or even to disappear, if the climate of South America will really become drier than today.

The reduction of Arctic ice cap will allow navigation across the Arctic Ocean and this will be good for maritime transports, but the consequent increase of sea levels will create real dramas elsewhere.
For one who will be smiling, there will be 5 or 10 who will be crying; for these reasons, I think it's very hard to talk of advantages from global warming.
