I knew when I saw you yesterday it would be the last time.
When I left it broke my heart to know that would be the last hug.
When I left it broke my heart to know that would be the last kiss.
When I left it broke my heart to know that was the last time.
To know it would be the last time I would see you and Papa together.
To know it would be the last time I would be able to hold your hand.
To know it would be the last time that I got to smile at you.
Now looking back I wish I had come to see you more.
Now looking back I realize just how much you were there for me.
Now looking back I see how I came to be the person I am today.
This morning I found out that you had passed.
This morning I realized just how much you really meant to me.
This morning I realized that you really would be gone forever.
