How to boost your website's search engine ranking

Have you been introduced to SEO Web Hosting? It is an evolution in web hosting that only a niche handful of companies offer. If you care about making money online and rank it will be worth the next few minutes to read this article and learn more about it.

Most new and even experienced web site owners and bloggers wing when it comes to SEO in an effort to save money when just starting out. Aside from self-SEO (if any), they lean towards cheap web hosting. SEO consultants and services are normally only paid for when a site owner becomes frustrated that they're not ranking in Google, getting traffic, or making money off their website. It is much more costly and time consuming to hire an SEO consultant to fix a problem and dissect an existing site, than it is to use SEO services from the onset to guide you through creating and optimizing a site. The lesson learned by many is do it right the first time.

SEO Starts With Your Hosting Choice
Your choice in web hosting can affect your rank. This may surprise many readers, but a slow server speed, recycled banned IP, and overloaded shared IP can negatively affect your site. A better choice than a shared IP is a dedicated IP, and even better than that is a C-Class IP.

What is a Shared IP vs. a Dedicated IP
Every web site has a domain name (http://www.yourdomainname.com), but when you sign up for hosting, you are assigned an Internet Protocol (IP) which serves in a way as your postal address on that server. Whether you're aware of it or not, your site has an IP assigned to it. An IP looks like this: 208.43.98.69 . A shared IP means that multiple sites use the same IP. Compare this to how apartment dwellers all share the same street address. The issue with a shared IP is that hundreds or thousands of sites, of which you have no control, may all affect one another. If one of those sites is banned, it could negatively affect yours as well.

A dedicated IP, on the other hand, is assigned solely to you. That means you have total control over every site on that IP. You can assign more than one of your sites to a dedicated IP, which would turn it into a low-volume shared IP.

What is a C-Class IP?
Take a look at the following IP addresses. Notice how they are divided into four different sections. These are called classes. More specifically, they are the letters A-D and take the format A.B.C.D. In the first IP below, the A-class is 208, B is 43, C is 98 and D is 69.

208.43.98.69

208.43.109.225

If you compare these two IPs you'll see the A-class (208) and B-class (43) numbers are the same, but the C-class and D-class numbers are different. The first difference between these IPs occurred in the C-class section, making these unique C-class IPs.

The most basic dedicated IP is a D-class IP (meaning the last numbers are different). If dedicated IPs (D-class) are better than shared IPs because fewer sites are on them, then a C-class IP is better than a D-class.
