Believing in ghosts comes naturally to some as they've either had an encounter, take comfort in it, or just simply believe. Others however do not these are the skeptics and they try to find rational explanations for everything when maybe there isn't for these people the numerous haunted building and places around the world must have an explanation, maybe they're scared of the unknown and don't want to believe but I myself am very interested in this sort of thing and relish the chance to hear new ghost stories. Heres in my opinion the three most haunted places in the world maybe then they may start believing.
WAVERLY HILL SANATORIUM, Louisville, Kentucky.
In 1910 as the tuberculosis or the "white death" epidemic hit its peak Waverly Hills opened its doors to the first of there patients, as the epidemic began spreading quicker it was realised that a bigger hospital was needed and in 1926 they opened a massive Gothic style sanatorium which could house at least 400 patients, it can still be seen standing today. After the discovery of antibiotics for TB there was no need for the hospital anymore and it shut down in 1961 to be re-opened the following year as an old peoples home. It was estimated that 64,000 patients died in that hospital, 10,000 in their first 3 years alone. Waverly Hills patients were subjected to horrific experiments in the journey to find a cure for the "white death" such as pheumothorax, the procedure to collapse part of your lung to help it heal or a thoracoplasty which removed 2 or 3 ribs so your lungs expanded more, surprisingly enough not many patients survived these "operations". With 64,000 people dying in the hospital it had to have left its mark somewhere, some of the ghosts include a old woman running from the main entrance in chains with blood pouring from her wrists and ankles, on the roof children can be heard singing "ring around a rosy" and there's also been reports of a little girl staring out of a third floor window. One thing that can be said about this place is that scary just doesn't cover it.
BORLEY RECTORY, Borley, England.
Borley Rectory was built in 1862 by Rev. Henry Bull to house himself, his wife and his 14 children, it was reported to be the "most haunted place in Britain" by investigator Harry Price. The story goes that in 1362 a Benedictine monastery was built there and one of the monks had fallen in love with a nun from a nearby convent they had decided to consummate their relationship but were found out by
