What health care reform would be the most beneficial?

Healthcare: The name says it all, people caring for the health of others.

It saddens me that healthcare is a political debate fueled by money dragged on by interest companies that want to squeeze as much money as they can before the government step in and regulates the unnecessary expenditures of a wasteful medical system. What happened to healthcare being humans caring for each other to now being people trying to profit as much as they can for healing ailments? All the controversy has been a he-said she-said extravaganza with myths such as euthanasia to the elderly to the complete collapse of our health institutions running viral in the internet. Now you might think that healthcare is perfect the way it is and that's why we shouldn't change after all you do have health coverage and you'd rather pay Blue Cross for your exceptional health care then the government since Blue Cross business is covering people in case they become ill.

What people don't realize is insurance companies aren't trying to save you, they're trying to profit off you and your coverage might be perfect until you develop a rare disease that your coverage fails to insure you for. Now you're at death's door and your only security has abandoned you. You feel resentment and hatred but you can't do anything, bills start to stack up and your treatment seems to just get more intensive and expensive and two years later you finally succumb to your disease and by that time you are so deep into debt that all your belongings are seized by the hospital.

Life is everything we have. Why shouldn't we act like our life, as well as the life of others, is what truly matters. A healthcare reform already has some funding after all we do pay for Medicare and Medicaid so both programs would cease to exist if healthcare becomes universal or they could be the source of revenue for such program. If you're still skeptical of relying on the government for your healthcare, you will be able to hold on to your health insurance and still be covered by Blue Cross just because they'll not go out of business.

Now the biggest change I look for after this reform is for hospitals to stop being run like a business and start being run like hospitals. Where they don't use four nurses to fill out the same charts and always do a new exam but share what they know about your health and have a basic knowledge of you instead of being treated every time like it was your first. A reform must occur and I just hope people are sensible enough to realize how much we need each other. 50 million Americans need us, why turn our back when we can change the way our world revolves?
