The Rune Mysteries quest is another stepping stone quest in the game Runescape. Starting in Lumbridge, this quest will take you to Draynor Village, and also to the city of Varrock. Nothing is required to complete this quest, but it will give you access to the Rune Essence Mines, which are a very good way to make a steady income as a non member. This quest can be broken down into four easy to follow steps, you should have no problem completing this quest as long as you do not mind a little bit of walking.

1. To begin, you need to make your way to the Lumbridge Castle, either by means of the Lumbridge Home Teleport spell, or by walking. You need to talk to the Duke Of Lumbridge, Duke Horacio. You can find him in one of the rooms on the second floor of the castle, ask him if he has any quests for you, and he will tell you about a strange talisman and ask you to deliver it the wizards tower.

2. Now, head southwest out of Lumbridge, until you reach Draynor Village, then head south, where you will find the wizards tower. You need to speak with Sedridor, who is the head wizard, you can find him in the basement, there is a ladder leading there on the first floor. Sedridor will examine the talisman, tell you it is very important, then give you a research package to deliver to the runeshop in Varrock.

3.The fastest way to get to Varrock from Draynor Village is to travel north, stay to the side of Draynor Manor, don't go in the gates there, stick to the river. Travel north until you reach the barbarian village, now travel east until you reach Varrock. The Runeshop is located on the east side of Varrock , directly south of the east bank. Talk to the aubury there, and he will give you research notes to bring back to Sedridor.

4. You have two options of getting to the wizard tower, you can either walk back the same way you came, or use the Home Teleport spell and head southwest. Once you reach the tower head back to the basement and talk to Sedridor again.

Congratulations! You have completed the rune mysteries quest! You can now be teleported to the rune essence mines by either Sedridor or the Aubury. Rune essence sells for a good bit of money to other players in the grand exchange. Happy Questing!
