Poetry: Season's greetings

by Jon Coe

Created on: August 13, 2009

Salt, pepper, oregano and mint
cayenne and onion, garlic, a hint
Christmas, Easter, Winter and Fall
bake a big pie, let's include them all

Summer is hot, pour on the spice
bring out the cummin, cover it in ice
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thymne
I'll be your neighbor, if you'll be mine

Season's Greetings, all around the globe
curry, tomato sauce, disco light strobe
Fennel on Pizza, chives and jives in a pita
'maters brewing, skewing by the meter

Winter, Spring, flipping the Burger Bling
happy holidays, Tobasco Sauces do sing
Sautee the Turkey Day, fry up your Ham
drizzle a chicken, baste up the Spam
