The joy of being a stay-at-home mother

Some people think that mothers who stay at home are in the past They do not realize there is more and more of us mothers everyday who stay at home. I myself personally think that if the family can afford the mother not to work it is so much more beneficial in the long run. We can do more with our children if they are in school -like room mothers. You can join in all events they have at school since .your a stay at home mother. Sometimes moms do not give to leave work and have to miss their big stage performance.

Also in today's world, you can never be too cautious with all of these predators in the schools and day cares. That is my biggest fear as a mother, to know that I am at work and then you got your precious child in some offender's hands. Not trying to scare you though it runs through my mind all the time when I think of going back to work. I will do anything to protect my children and other kids from them type of people.

Some other joys of being a stay at home mother is knowing that if the school calls because your child is sick you do not have to worry about finding someone to go pick them up. You will be there to pick them up from school when they are sick or if they wet their pants. I have been through both of them situations. I am glad I was there for her.

If you do not have children in school that gives you the chance to focus on them to help them grow and develop their motor skills before they reach school. Some day cares may not care as much as you do about how well your child grows. They are not personally going to sit there and help them read like you would. They get paid by the hour so the babysitters could not care if your child succeeded in that days activities or not like you would.

So just given the fact that you can spend so much more quality time with your child is really beneficial for them. Call me over protective but I really do not think anyone can take as good as care as me to my children. I just dislike the fact of some else watching my children. It is a real joy though to be there and see how they learn and grow every bit of their childhood life. I find joy in having my children around me at all times this way I know what goes on in their life. If they get hurt I will be right there to kiss their boo-boos. People tell me to cut the apron strings but I am just attached to my kids.
