In the fake, yet highly detailed city of Quahog in the state of Rhode Island, a happy family with very realistic qualities along with ridiculously strange features that lives on Spooner St. goes on strange, funny, and sometimes stupid adventures. The main characters consist of:
Peter-The fat Irish American Catholic with the glasses and the white shirt tucked into the evergreen colored pants. Peter is generally the cause of all the problems that happen throughout the show. He has a very crude, stupid, yet somehow funny sense of humor. He is the man who enjoys sitting on the couch watching TV with a beer in his hand. He loves his family though, except his daughter Meg, the source of a lot of Peter and occasionally Lois's jokes.
Lois-The average loving mother who sometimes gets herself into some weird shenanigans like modeling, addiction to shoplifting, etc. Overall she is just a mother that loves all of her children very much, although her feelings about Meg could be debated. Chris-Pretty much the teenage version of his father, Peter, and a little brother to Meg and a big brother to Stewie who goes to James Wood High. He has a slightly different sense of Humor from Peter, for Chris is usually funny by contradicting himself or by physical humor.
Meg-The classic geek that goes to high school who just wants to fit in. She attempts to 'go out' with the 'popular' boys. She wants to be cool, and have a lot of friends. It seems that nobody cares for her! Even her family!
Stewie-He is probably the most unique character. A talking baby who wants to kill his mother Lois and someday take over the world! As much as he yells, talks, and laughs at his mother, all Lois hears is baby gabble from a one year old baby! The only living thing that really understands him is the family dog Brian. Usually pretty straightforward and serious, but sometimes reveals some funny and bizarre things about him.
Brian-The family dog who can miraculously talk and be understood by everyone including Stewie, his best friend, yet at the same time his worst enemy. He is probably the smartest and most mature living thing in the house. Brian loves to write, sing, and act. Although he usually acts like a human, sometimes he acts like an average dog by chasing cars, chewing bones, barking, etc.
No matter how dumb or pointless the show can get, I always want to watch more. Maybe it is the distinct characters, or the wonderfully detailed world that the fictional characters live in. I think everybody over the age of twelve should watch Family Guy-at least once.
