Arwen's Poem
Walking through a forest
Breathing in the air.
With no set destination but elsewhere.
Fragrance of oak and pine,
Breathing in the divine.
Arwen's fate is not clear,
But her departure is near.
Why, father? Why?-
You belong with your people. says Elrond.
Tears of anguish run down her cheek
Upon hearing the answer she does not seek.
Colors of brown, yellow, and green,
Everywhere to be seen.
Not a sign of an end
As far as sight can mend.
All of a sudden the Evenstar glows
For a vision it must show;
Aragorn, crowned, in a great hall of kings,
Dancing around with a child at his grasp.
On the child's neck, the Evenstar
Ever so glowing. And his eyes very much
Like hers, cross her gaze
Lady Arwen? We must go, We cannot linger.
Do you not wish to sail to a new home
Other than this dark dome? says a squire.
Walking through a forest
Breathing in the air.
With no set destination but elsewhere.
Fragrance of oak and pine,
Breathing in the divine.
I am home
