Why shop in thrift stores?

Do you love shopping? Are you having serious withdrawals from shopping because of the economy? Well, let me show you the way to the thrift store, my little shopoholic! I have been hunting these grounds for years, and I not only love it, my heart beats faster when I enter the store, at the excitement about what I will find!

Before you shop, have a plan of what your looking for, before you enter the store, as you can get overwhelmed easily. I have always found success finding what I need, because I knew what I was looking for, and sought it out. This will help you focus. Some thrift stores may be unorganized, and inventory in disarray, but you can easily maneuver your way through the mayhem, when you are on a mission.

Once interviewing for a job, I went to the salvation army, and purchased a new suit for $10.00. Including the silk top for underneath, I paid a total of $12.50, to look like a million bucks! This classic suit has carried me through several business lunches, a funeral or two, and more than a few important events. I love it, and it is ready to wear whenever I need it. I just change the top underneath, and it looks like a different suit!

I also purchased an area rug for $60.00. It was huge, 10x10. When I got home I noticed a tag on the bottom of the carpet. It was is a Bhutan area carpet! After some internet research, I found the exact area carpet, ordered new, for $1600.00. That was surely the most incredible find! This carpet is in perfect condition, not one flaw.

Buying furniture at the thrift store can save you money! You can add so much personality to a room with an antique end table, or desk! You can even refinish the furniture, to make it the color hue and finish you like. Not everything in your house has to match perfectly, add some personality to your frunishings.

There can be so mnay great finds! You never know what to expect! Shopping the thrift store can be a fun experience when you know what you are looking for! These hard economic times are opportunities to be creative, recycle, and have a fun doing what we love, which is shopping! Take the time to look around at all the diiferent stuff! It can be very enjoyable! I always find the coolest stuff! You can find just about anything you need, and perhaps a profitable hobby, while you are at it!
