You may find others giving Garnier Fructis shampoo a glowing review. But, this shampoo is certainly not for everyone. Even though the price is affordable and reasonable, you cannot expect Garnier Fructis shampoo to do everything the commercials say it will do.

First, not all shampoos are created equal. Even if a shampoo is all-natural, it does not necessarily mean that everyone can use the shampoo successfully. Similarly, Garnier Fructis shampoo will not work for everybody. So, if you buy this shampoo because you have seen the commercials telling you that you will get shiny, beautiful, healthy hair from using this shampoo, you should not believe in all the hype.

Garnier Fructis shampoo does, however, smell very good. The smell is comparable to other shampoo brands like Herbal Essences, except you are basically paying for the brand name when it comes to Herbal Essences. The Herbal Essences shampoo line is just like the Garnier Fructis shampoos, except for the price difference. And, Herbal Essences has extensive and often exaggerated commercials.

Garnier Fructis shampoo will cost from $2-4, depending on where you shop and what particular shampoo you buy. If you were to compare Garnier Fructis with similar shampoos, you will find that the similarities far outweigh the differences. So, all in all, if you had to choose between Garnier Fructis and another similar shampoo, you are not really making a decision. It is "brand loyalty" from then on.

Personally, Garnier Fructis made my hair oily and then very dry. Soon afterwards, I began to develop dandruff, and my scalp felt itchy. I cannot say that Garnier Fructis shampoo is the only shampoo that has had this effect on my hair and scalp. In fact, even Head & Shoulders, Pantene Pro-V, and Suave have all made my scalp itchy and full of dandruff. I think it is all up to you to experiment with what kind of shampoos will work for your hair.

For some, Garnier Fructis shampoo is effective. It does make their hair shiny and healthy. But, you have to realize that the health of your hair starts with your scalp. The shampoo is only there to make sure that your scalp is clean. Other than that, it cannot really affect the health of your hair unless it were to do so negatively, such as cause irritability or dandruff.

But, be aware that the negative effects of Garnier Fructis shampoo is, perhaps, very random. The only shampoos that have worked for me have been all-natural ones. But, this does not mean that Garnier Fructis won't work for you. The only way that you would know is to give it a try.
