In a world of huge spiritual and religious devotion, it seems almost impossible to sit on the fence concerning the issue of religion or god's existence, you just must form an opinion. In as much as you want to wish it away it keeps creeping up your mind. Why? This is because you are surrounded by religion zealots who are overtly excited by the divine technology powering the daily phenomenon of sunrise and sunset. Agnostic approach to the issue of god's existence does acknowledge the various celestial and terrestrial wonders of the world including the magic wand behind human existence. But it is quite a pragmatic approach that believes in the saying seeing is believing'. It is quite easier to convince an agnostic to believe in a mortal than an unseen god. This is quite reasonable. And come to think of it, the ardent supporters of 'God is' still cannot hold their own without anchoring on a physical medium that can link them with God. Ultimately we all believe in the physical. And this is why followers of religions like Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, Sango (god of thunder among the Yorubas of Nigeria), Ogun (god of iron among the Yorubas of Nigeria) etc prefer to hang to the various prophets (who once lived as human) to link them to God. One ancient Greek philoshopher once opined: if horses had hands and could produce works of arts, they would produce god in their own image.
Agnostic approach to the issues of existence or otherwise of God is more appealing because while it avoids the contradiction often associated with atheism, it acknowledges the reasons behind the excitement of the believers of God. This approach simply exercises doubts about God's existence (because there is no concrete evidence) and refuses to give a nod.
