Yes, I believe the government should be able to control what is written in school history books, but only in the way they used to when this country, this nation, first began. Back then, children were not only taught about the history of American life, wars, sickness and oppression, but they were taught right from wrong. They were taught from a history book called the Bible. The Bible was a book that was referenced and actually read from, repeatedly, by our own government officials.

Our country was founded on Bible-based principals, or at least that's what all the historical documents say. The very first English translation of the Bible was not only printed by Congress, it was paid for by Congress. The very first page stated, per the United States Congress, this book - the Bible - is to be used and taught in every school. America and its Founding Fathers' based its very existence on a covenant with God and with each other. We made a vow to uphold the principals of God and of His word, the Bible. We promised to pass down His Word to our children and we did, at first. Congress itself saw to that. Why did that ever change? Did we the American people, vote for that? We would not and did not vote to take God out of schools or a school book: that was the government.

We have opened our arms and our borders to almost every nation and faith; we accommodate their ways and beliefs while we sacrifice our own, in search of new ways to dishonor God. Why aren't we allowed to tell our children in school about God anymore? Why no Bibles, why no prayers? Yet our children are being told of gay lifestyles, safe sex and sexually-transmitted diseases. Why are our children being told in school to have tolerance, of issues that the Bible states are an abomination? Yes, abortion, euthanasia, pedophile priests, and gay relationships or marriages: are all abominations to God. Those are His words, not mine; however, I do tend to agree with God. God says we are all to live at peace with one another, but that does not mean live in ignorance. The government used to tell the whole truth, now our children read history books that have been adjudicated to accommodate everyone, everyone but God.

I would love for the Government to tell our children the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, of our real Christian-based American history. God said He put the governments of the world in power, and that they will be held accountable. So I believe the Government should take an honest approach, tell the truth for a change, and stop editing our American heritage of Christianity.
