Everyone is looking to save money these days and the people of Mesa, Arizona are no different than people who live anywhere else. Here are some great ways to save money while living in Mesa.

Take advantage of free entertainment

Every year families spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars on entertainment. One of the best ways to save money is by cutting your entertainment expenses and taking advantage of all the free entertainment available to members of Mesa and Phoenix.

There are free festivals and carnivals going on almost weekly. This is a great way for families to spend some quality time together, meet new people, and have a great time. For the price of a couple of dollars worth of gas and a picnic lunch or dinner you can listen to great music, or join in the fun of a festival.

Your family can also enjoy hiking waterfalls trail in the East valley, strolling through Mesa Community College's rose garden, or go for a bike ride in the park. All for free.

You can also get out and visit Kiwanis Park in Tempe where the whole family has 125 acres to explore, the kids can fish, and there is a huge recreational center to enjoy.

The kids will also enjoy going to the monthly free classes offered by home depot. Here they are given the materials, and taught how to build something. What's even better is they get to take their projects home.

The Lakeshore Learning store also offers free crafts classes for kids as well.

Families can also take a free tour of the Stuffington Bear factory or the Cerreta candy factory.

Use Coupons

Newspapers and the Internet offers all kinds of coupons for groceries and even restaurants. Using these will save you on both your food costs and eating out. Look for restaurants that have special deals for children or give discounts to senior citizens and save even more.

Walk Don't Ride

Whenever possible, walk instead of driving, or ride a bike. Not only is the exercise healthy for you but the money you save in gas will have you feeling even better.

Plan Family Activities at Home

Instead of going to a movie, or out to eat, why not gather the entire family together and have a game night or watch a movie at home. There is nothing more relaxing than putting on your pajamas or a pair of comfortable old sweats and spending a relaxing evening with your family doing something you all enjoy.

With so many free activities, discount coupons, and a little imagine you will find it easier than you could have imagined saving money in Mesa or anywhere else for that matter.
