You love dad dearly and come father's day you want to give him something to let him know just how much you love him. The problem is that the budget you have for his gift isn't that much. So how are you going to get dad a gift that he'll love without going into debt? It's possible you just have to remember what dad likes to pull it off.
Ties are pretty much out of the question, unless of course dad collects them. This means that you have to figure out something else to give him. Does dad like to cook? You can get him something for his grill or the kitchen. There are a couple dozen items in the outdoor, and cooking sections of the store that will compliment any cooking habits inexpensively. Is dad's grill starting to show the signs of years of grilling? If you do a careful search you can replace his grill without going over your budget.
Does dad have a favorite cologne or aftershave? These can usually be gotten rather inexpensively depending on the size. When you buy one you can buy the other if you're careful. Just make sure to get dad's brand so that you know he likes it.
How long has it been since you spent some time with dad? You can take him to lunch on father's day rather inexpensively. This way you can spend some time with him especially if you haven't seen him in a while. After lunch you can take dad to play golf. That is if he's into golf, although new clubs might run you a bit more than you can afford to spend.
Does dad enjoy working out? You can get dad a pass to the gym so that he can see if he likes it. Or if dad needs to be pampered you can get him a day at the spa. Mom isn't the only one that could enjoy a day of pampering, dad might just surprise you.
Is dad always building something? When dad is constantly building things or working with his hands he might need new tools or somewhere to put them. A tool box so that he can organize his tools will make it easier for him to find them.
Inexpensive father's day gifts aren't that hard to come up with. You just have to think about what dad likes. You also have to remember that it's the thought and not the price of the gift that's really important.
