Poetry: I love you

by Ely Tinkler

Created on: February 08, 2007   Last Updated: December 09, 2008

I'll begin with one day on a train.
We both sat and looked out the window
and smiled.
Then we talked and laughed.
Later, walking around the city streets,
our hands linked,
feeling the infatuation.
That was the beginning of it all.

When we are together,
teasing, tickling, touching;
through the tips of our fingers we feel it,
feel the link growing stronger.
Smooth skin on skin,
gentle lips on lips,
we show each other our hearts,
and every imperfection looks perfect.

Every time you're there on the doorstep,
my inner smile glows
because you give me the affection
and tenderness I need.
All I really want to say,
is that with each passing day,
every moment,
I love you.
