If a husband wants to make his wife happy, he should love, respect and support her. However, in reality it often goes beyond love and respect as a husband cannot be the single source of his wife's happiness. The decision whether she will be happy rests with her; it is personal .

The notion that a husband can be the source of his wife happiness places an unfair burden on the husband if he has a wife who does not relish being happy. If his wife is positive and she makes being happy her life's philosophy, it is likely she will be happy , it becomes her husband duty to ensure he does everything he can to keep her happy.

If his wife is confident in her own skin, there are a number of ways he husband can enhance or add to her sense of wellbeing.

GREAT COMMUNICATION
There is nothing more tiresome in a marriage than to try and discern what is on the mind of a husband that acts indifferent about things that are important to the wife. Many households ascribe to the notion that husbands are the head of it; therefore, it is obligatory for them to ensure communication flows smoothly and one of the ways to do that is by listening and responding appropriately. Being able to effectively communicate with their husbands would make the average wife deliriously happy.

ENDLESS LOVE
There may be times when all a wife needs is to know that her husband loves her, those times when she feels the world is closing in on her. Some husbands have difficulty saying "I love you," but I wager that if you purse your lips and utter those words, especially if you do not say them often, that you will put your wife on cloud nine. Women love to be told they are loved as well as have that love demonstrated in ways that are unique. For example, purchase five roses, rather than the customary one, and present them to her. Tell her that on that particular day, you thought of five reasons why you love her and how special she is to you.

ASSISTANCE WITH HOUSEHOLD CHORES
When both husband and wife work, there is little time for romance especially if the wife is doing all the household chores, overseeing the children's homework and chastising their behavior. Many of the old gender roles and obstacles have either been removed or redefined, but household chores are still pretty much the responsible of the wife. When a husband agrees to do fifty percent of the work, his wife will look to him as a partner, which no doubt will enhance her contentment with him and with the marriage.

FANTASTIC SEX
Sex is an important component in practically all marriages. There were times when women did not discuss their sexual dissatisfaction, but today it is no longer a taboo subject. A husband who wants a great marriage will ensure his wife is satisfied in this area of their relationship. He should ask questions and demand truthful responses. Sexual dissatisfaction one of the leading causes of female infidelity. Have date nights or set aside some time alone to reignite the passion. Women like to be wooed so on those date nights, pretend you are dating and treat her as you did when you first met her. This will not only make her happy, but will create a state of bliss for both of you.

One of the reasons so many marriages fail is because of unrealistic expectations with respect to happiness. No one can make another happy; it must be their personal choice where they decide that no matter what happens, nothing can take away their happiness. When a wife is by nature positive and forward thinking, it will be the husband's responsibility to see that she stays that way loving and supporting her unconditionally.
