Marcel is a young entrepreneur who recently lost everything due to a down turn in the economy. She has to walk everywhere since she lost her prized vehicle and cannot seem to get a direction in her life.
Blogger is the abused, rangy looking, off-white lopped ear rabbit that wants to come home with Marcel wherever that may be.
The story begins when Marcel passes by the building for the thousandth time trying to ignore the pull to look into a dark corner of the outside room.
Marcel: There those eyes are AGAIN! Why won't they stop looking at me like I can do something to rescue them from the grotesque, cramped condition in which they live. Do I have the financial means to embrace another thing in my life? I can barely take care of myself these days with the economic turmoil I find myself in. Yes, I used to be successful and making a six digit salary to fill all of my wants and needs. But now? Huh! That is pretty irritating.
Before this pitiful recession I had my own studio apartment in the middle of down town Dallas and arrogantly drove my sleek, black Mercedes to every engagement.
Now, this thing keeps looking at me like I can DO something for it! Damn!
So, Marcel kept walking past the building again and gazed straight ahead to ignore the dark eyes that seemed to cry out for help.
Blogger seems to give up but suddenly looks up: Oh no, not this time partner thought Blogger to himself. I am a beautiful rabbit with the longest, softest, bestest ears and the biggest, badest feet you ever heard. There is no denying me this day for you are about to experience a powerful tug that will turn your pretty curls aroundyes indeed!
At that point Blogger began to thump the window with his feet so hard that Marcel had to turn toward the noise.
YES! Blogger said to himself and seemed to grin as Marcel began to walk back to the building where the poor rabbit was living.
Marcel: Hmmm, was that what I think it was? But Marcel just couldn't believe that a rabbit could drum out a famous song with his feet. That is just not possible must be some kind of coincidence or my mind is going loony faster than I thought. With that in mind Marcel began to walk off again: with some reservation.
Blogger: Oh, no. Please don't leave me behind. I want to go with you! Then he started thumping his feet again.
Marcel: Oh- my- God! That rabbit DID drum out that song! She turned around and saw the rabbit standing on his hind legs, dancing in circles, and thumping out Beyond Belief by Petra; a group Marcel used to listen to as a teenager. Somewhere in life those kinds of things became silly and unimportant to her career.
Blogger: Now THAT got her attention! I'm going home to a place beyond belief!
Marcel: As tears fell down her cheeks Marcel looked for a way to enter the building and rescue the little rabbit from his cramped living quarters. She had reached the next plateau in her life. Her heart's desire was to journey with God and this rabbit to higher ground. The pity party she had been in since she lost her fancy car was thrown aside and a renewed sense of responsibility to God's creations (including that dirty ole rabbit) began to grow. Marcel had a new pet and Blogger received the best care any pet could ask for. Both gained a friend beyond belief.
