Happy workers are productive workers it seems to be true at individual level but happy organizations are more productive. It is important to keep all workers happy to make the organization productive.
It is very important to keep employees happy in business because when they will be happy and satisfy from their jobs then there productivity will be automatically increased. Happiness and satisfaction helps to retain the employees in business.
A lot of factors affect on the happiness and satisfaction of employees. At first, working conditions of an organization affect on employees happiness. The working place where they have to spend all day is neat clean and well ventilated then it will effect directly on the health of employee and good health leads towards happiness. If working conditions are good and standard then automatically employees will be healthy and happy and satisfied. And there work performance will be increased.
The most important factor of employee's happiness is reinforcement. Through reinforcement boss can mold the behavior of employees towards organization's goal. In reinforcement employees are motivated and boss praises the employees and gives them rewards etc. This motivation helps the employees move towards their maximum potential.
Another important factor is relationship of employees with supervisor. The role of supervisor is very important in working place. If there is good understanding between employees and supervisor then they both will understand each others problems and try to solve the problems.
Growth is also very important here. When employees get chances of growth in an organization then their satisfaction and happiness will increase. Besides this salary increment is very important towards happiness and satisfaction of employees. A proper increment in salary motivates the employees towards productivity.
Overwork can be affected on the health of employees. And due to overwork their productivity will reduce. 10 hours working is enough for a business. If there is required more work then through overtime work must done. In overtime employees do work with their own consent and get incentive for that overtime. It leads employees towards productivity and happiness.
Conclusion:
There are a lot of factors leading employees towards dissatisfaction and depression such as company policy, supervision, and relationship with boss, work conditions, salary, and relationship with peers. It is really needed to keep these factors in favor of employees for happiness and productivity.
Here are some factors leading employees towards happiness and satisfaction. These factors are achievement, recognition, work itself, responsibility, and growth.
