Has Limbaugh Out-Imused Imus?

by Sean Wardak

Created on: August 10, 2009

What a novel concept, sure Imus has said some dopey things but who hasn't done that in their life? But you're going to say Rush is doing that on a constant basis. Where that logic comes from I don't know. Now I'll be the first to say that I am an avid Rush listener, so maybe that makes me a little biased, you'll have to be the judge. I have notice that those who tend to disagree with Mr. Limbaugh also have a tendency to be a little one sided, although in the other direction.

Now some people may say that when he said he hoped Obama's policy would fail, that he was betting against the country. Do you really believe that? He was betting against the country or that he was betting against policies that he disagrees with. And did any on the left say that they agreed with every Bush policy? I don't remember hearing that.

People disagreed with him, that is they're right as Americans. Is Limbaugh a perfect person? No, he has made and probably will make mistakes, who hasn't done it? But to hear people vilify him as they do is sometimes almost funny. I listen to people spew the venom they say he does.

Lately he's been accused of doing something really terrible, saying that Democrats are acting like Nazi's. The left has gone crazy over this. Just a week or so after people at the health care town halls were compared to brown shirts by those same Democrats.

Does Rush say outlandish things? Sometimes he does. Both sides are guilty of it. It's real pot and kettle kind of stuff, if you let yourself be impartial and think about it. Now there are people who say the man has no idea what he is talking about, again I would tend to disagree.

Biased?

Rush has been accused of being everything from a racist to a homophobe. It seems he has a bull's eye on his back and the only other person that I've seen the left afraid of is Sarah Palin. And it is fear that is driving these people. Fear of his popularity. Fear of his ability to get his message out there. Fear of the fact that people are not happy with the direction that this country is heading.

The man loves this country and wants nothing but the best for it and if it is being taken in a direction that he feels is detrimental to it's future, should he not speak out? Isn't that what those who oppose him are doing? The one thing that both sides need to keep focused on is this great country.
