Across the Miles
You're there while I'm here;
It breaks my heart in two.
At the start of each new day
I long to wake with you.
Time passes. You're still there;
It can't be helped at all.
I love you more each passing day
But distance takes its toll.
My tears they fall in torrents;
I don't know what to do.
At the end of every day
My arms they ache for you.
But God is watching o'er us;
We trust where He will lead.
But life would be easier
If our cries He would heed.
I love you so much, Honey;
I long to see your smile.
Let's keep looking forward
As we walk each day's mile.
