Confined inside of an emotion-proof box
Rigid and still - unseeing eyes turned
To the painfully familiar wall.
Eternity is a long time, spent without a hint of feeling;
Eternity encased in one moment.
I am alive... is that all there is to it?
Body too heavy to move and
Once and for all fit into a safe
And comfortable mold.
Why move? The nothingness will not shift.
I never want it to shift.
No, this can't be... a feeble thud against my box -
Has it been there all along?
I remember now - it used to be stronger.
Pain.
It smoothed out the edges of my being,
And now I do not feel...
Wait, hell, there is one feeling still:
Nothing.
It dulls the agony,
But deprives you of peace;
Nothing cushions and smothers, creating a sensation
As one of being wrapped in wool
In the daytime heat of the Death Valley.
Nothing feels like forever...
Nothing feels like home.

Poetry: Nothing
by Terrence Aym
I am the master of nothing,
In a city that doesn't exist,
In a land that never was,
Yet as no one I persist.
I am the master
by Steven Spad
I could always be right
win ever argument and fight
but if I don't gain love
I gain nothing, I gain nothing
I could know it
Nothing needs to be said
When in life I am dead
No obituary need be read
About the good or evil I spread
For there is nothing
by Toney Eugene
Nothing
The seconds go by and my life slips away
Drifting into an eternal darkness which begins today
The beating of my heart
Nothing is only ever just bluffing.
Nothing sits for too long on its ride,
so tired of doing nothing, left untried.
Nothing
