Swine-flu-Zombie's Take Over the World and Eat your Brains.

Characters:

Sam - The unofficial leader of the group.

John - Old friend Steady and level headed.

Sally - Sam's girlfriend.

Jenny - Sam's sister fairly outgoing.

Alex - A friend, irritable and unhelpful except in a fight.

Emma - Alex's sister sweet and rather gentle.

Kane - Emma's old boyfriend now a Zombie

Luke - a recently deceased former member of the group killed by zombies

These events take place after swine flu has infected most of the planet and turned them to zombies. In a quiet English seaside town six young people have managed to escape contamination and avoid having their Brains Eaten. They are searching for a safe haven that may be obtained by reaching a small island, which rumour has it is deserted by both humans and zombies. The current setting is a rolling green field with a distant view of the sea, it is a sunny day so the land is clear of zombies but there is much evidence of their presence, severed heads, gutted buildings, burnt out machinery. Our Group look haggard and dirty, Sam sports a rifle, John caries a strange metal devise that looks a little like a small catapult. Alex and Jenny wield hefty looking pieces of rather twisted looking metal, as if the weapons have been torn out of some of the surrounding wreckage. Emma wears a crucifix and both her and sally are carrying small silver knives that appear to have been part of someone cutlery in the previous world.

Sam - Thank God for the Sunshine. The rain was killing me.

Alex - No, the Zombies were killing us. Can't you get anything right?

Jenny - They sure got Luke. (a pause)

John - His head was all over the...

Alex - Could you not talk about it. It's putting me off my dinner. And this dinner is pretty off putting by itself. (there is no response, they agree. What they are eating appears to be greyish brown mush.)

Emma - At least we're alive

Alex - huh, I'm staring to think we'd be better off eating brains. Better eating brains than brains eaten as my mother would say.

Sam - Go screw a pig then.

Emma - Firstly we're probably immune, secondly all the pigs are dead or run off somewhere and thirdly that's disgusting and we shouldn't turn on each other.

Sam - Emma?

Emma - Yes?

Sam - Go screw a pig.

John - We need to get moving, we need shelter before nightfall.

(The group struggle to their feet, a bird call breaks the eerie stillness and they all tense at the shrill noise)

Sally - We shouldn't be
