-The Balance of Mental and Physical Stimulation In Order to Preserve the Will-
Mental stimulation withers and dies with the collection of new packets filled with physical stimulation. Picture a scale, perfectly balanced controlling all our senses. On one side lies mental stimulation versus the opposite end of the spectrum, which is physical stimulation. When the senses become flooded in favor of stimulation from the physical senses, the acquired excess tips the scale in the dominant direction into abysmal depths of lust, greed, and corruption to reach a climatic end resulting in death. Stimulation of the physical senses acts as a type of currency, which can be caressed and consumed as we slowly asphyxiate the brain by giving into the physical desires of the spirit. Empty notions of freedom, liberty, ethics, accountability are nailed to the cross, acting as Jesus for our physical sins. The attainment of momentary desires consumes our hearts, excess stimulation of the physical senses leaving our mental state in a drunken narcotic stupor. The Spirit pours itself a glass of excess to fill the emptiness inside of us that acts as a void in the dark. The darkness that keeps us awake at night is the void we have yet to fill in our minds, yet the physical stimulation of the senses lies to us, leading us to believe are souls are full. We sleep in a petrified state, coma where the mind lies in an animated state. Consciousness sleeps while chaos ensues within us. Frantically we search for a magic pill to numb the depths of pain, acting as an ocean of waves lapping against our mind while drowning our soul. Our soul is shipwrecked on a deserted island symbolic for the body. We wander in our physical bodies like blind children through a maze called life. Our quest for satisfaction causes us to chase after physical objects as a way of valuing our life. At the end of the day we take accountability for all that we possess, quantifying our misplaced affections for material goods in a state of revelry for all that we possess. The quantifying of the objects gives us a type of monetary value for our lives and we bask in our safety deposit box. The gain on one side of the scale tips to the heaviest direction and leaves us lacking on the opposite end. For the physical gain comes at a loss mentally.
To ignore the mental aspect of our soul and fail to stimulate the mind leaves us wanting. However, this wanting is numbed due to the over indulgence of the physical
