Forest Destruction
Catapult me to oblivion,
For divine intervention
Has long swallowed its existence.
I shall sing to the heavens!
Until a life of my own
Can carry itself out amongst
The stars.
To walk along the boardwalks
Of justice and hate,
And all things created.
By one carved hand
Together we shall lift our voices
And no one shall come.
Another vulture has landed upon
This shoulder of black ice
Trying to chip it away,
Until the destination to
Tolerance has been reached?
Maybe another day in the sun
To help my soul wither?
Will be another day in the sun
That watched my soul finally crumple,
As I let this aged butterfly
Leave my bleeding palms.
As another wise tree hits the earth.
Hoping it remembers this story
This tome of insolent hope.
Through its orange tattered wings
To its sea of desolation back home.

THE RAINFOREST
What was the rainforest, what does it mean?
Is it a forest of water and rain?
How does one harvest the wood
by Lilly Mantra
Water droplets beading up,
Mist slowly merging with heat,
Ground so moist and soft,
Aroma, fresh and sweet.
Wondrous natural
by C F Tinney
So much life densely packed in
like no other land we know
From the hungry sloth above
to the bullet ants below
You can trace
The scream of a bird high above,
A branch creaks, leaves fall, the flutter of feathers
The smell, scent of leaves and moss
by Kendra Allen
THE RAINFOREST
Breathe deep, primeval canopy,
And cleanse the air of our excess
As preordained in eons past
To heal the wounds
