There is absolutely no reason that we should have a North American currency. The countries that do use a continental currency are socialist, I for one do not think America should turn into a socialist country.

Canada has socialized medicine and Mexico's economy is in the dumps so why in the world would you want to have a currency with both of them? It would just send our economy deeper into that debt hole because this new currency would have very little value. I for one have had a first hand experience of what it is like to live with socialized currency.

This idea does have some good sides to it though. For one, you could travel anywhere in North America and the currency would work, unless we had an independent country like Switzerland. Then it could have very large value which would be extremely good if someone would be traveling into a different country. I will still always believe that we should not turn into socialized Europe and have a continental currency.

Also what if this could be the cure to the economy; we could strengthen three different countries economies but then there is the possibility that we could all sign a treaty and all become one nation. Now that would be very strange, then we would have socialized medicine, more oil, and a lot of freedom.

Maybe that's what we can debate about next, should Canada, Mexico, and the United States join forces and call it the North American Union.

I think before we do decide to get a continental currency, we should lower our federal deficit, because what if this cost us $25 trillion? Handing out new currency, printing new currency, and hiring temporary people to hand out this new currency. Then how would we get all this money to all the various locations in the world?

What if some kid in India has a $5 bill and then when Americans come over and he tries to trade it, it will be worthless, so we would be starving him of food, water, and clothing. So I do not believe we should get this new currency because it could literally destroy lives of people and also create a new country and then there would be no more United States of America.

Of course then all the people would elect Obama dictator and we would turn into Nazi Germany. Please excuse my political views when you are reading this.
