I have been on both sides of my scale of emotions. The scale of my emotions consists of either feeling good, or feeling bad. I can tell you that it is not fun feeling bad, complaining about your life and of the things that you don't like, don't want, and dwelling only on the negative things in life. I can honestly say it is not the way to go. It is a real drag and I have come to discover that it is not worth it. There is nothing that you can do about the past. However, there is something that you can do to keep your emotions in the feel good department. It does make a tremendous difference on how you view life and it does reveal to you the secret keys to happiness.
First thing is to get rid of the negative and keep only the positive. Well, what do I mean by that? Simply this, be grateful for the things that you do have. Write down all the things that you are grateful for and stick it on the wall, or bulletin board where you will see it daily to remind you of what you are grateful for. Find a good place for you that you will see this all the time. Always have a plan and pursue your goals. Do not make excuses to talk yourself out of it, just do it. Have no doubts in your mind to follow your dreams. Believe that what you wish for will happen and work hard to execute your plans. Enjoy the simple things in life. Go see the sunset, watch a full moon, listen to nature's musical sounds, visit friends, visit family, spend time with your children, and pamper yourself. Make a list of the changes that you would like see in yourself that will be positive for you and that will help you to personally grow. Be sure to also hang your wants next to what you are grateful for on the wall, or bulletin board. Do the things that only bring you joy such as listening to pleasant music, only watch shows and movies that are helpful and positive. Get rid of those negative things in your life which also includes people who only bring you down and are negative.
Most importantly, love is the number one key to happiness. You have to love yourself first and before you can then love others. When you stay positive and strive to help yourself by executing your plans, staying focused on only the good things you begin to see the positive things that take place. Your outlook on life becomes bright and sunny. You begin to feel good about yourself and happiness brings you warm fuzzies. Your health will improve and the deep frown lines on your face from stress begin to diminish. Your demeanor changes and it shows. The secret keys to happiness are love, being grateful, appreciative, and by focusing only on the positive thoughts and things.
