THREE PALS
Once there were three pals
One was a guy and two were gals
It was Tillie The Turtle, Molly The Mouse
And Georgie The Gopher; Molly's spouse
Molly loved adventure and liked to explore
Georgie was considered quite the bore
Tillie's pace was much too slow
So she was never asked to go
Molly went out alone to hike
To see what she could find
Tillie and Georgie didn't like
Being left behind
Molly ventured down the path
And came upon a cat
Staring longingly at a birdbath
Where a sweet young bluebird sat
She knew the bluebird's fate was sealed
If the cat would have his way
Molly tried to form a shield
And lure the cat away
The cat chased Molly; she ran fast
Into the woods nearby
Molly Mouse stared aghast
At the sight that caught her eye
There at the edge of the wood
Much to her surprise
Tillie and Georgie proudly stood
She couldn't believe her eyes
The two of them had set a trap
And beamed with smiles of pride
When suddenly with a snap
The cat was caught inside
Molly thanked them from her heart
And vowed until the end
Nevermore would they be apart
It'd be Molly, Georgie, and their friend
Three pals sticking together
Traveling side by side
No matter what the weather
They would all abide

If I were the King or the Queen of the zoo
And the animals had nothing to do
The orange hippopotamus with big white teeth
Is swiming ‘cross the bubbles and sinking beneath
Hunting for the walrus

Dogs are great
they clean the food off your plate
cats are nice too
they keep your lap warm for you
fish can be fun
but they
How, When, Where, and Why?
I wonder how
a cow says "wow!"
when all they say is "moo"?
I wonder when
That big red hen
will lay
